Jim Boylen is gone: Five coaches who could replace him in Chicago

Despite of some rumours that he could continue, Chicago Bulls’ head coach Jim Boylen was sacked by the board. But who’s going to replace him? That’s the big question now. Let’s discuss it while we are thinking about our free guaranteed sports picks for today.

Ime Udoka

At this moment Ime Udoka is working as an assistant head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers, but the Bulls already identified him as a target for the job. One of Udoka’s biggest advantages is the fact that he learned for 7 years from the great Greg Popovich.

Kenny Atkinson

Kenny Atkinson did some terrific job while at the Brooklyn Nets where he proved he can transform young players into important figures for any team. We are still not sure why he was sacked by the Nets, but he’s free to look for another job now.

Adrian Griffin

Another assistant coach who’s currently working at the Toronto Raptors. Previously he was an assistant for the Bulls, so he’s not an entirely new name for the franchise. It’s a curious fact that he was a teammate with the current Bulls VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas.

Wes Unseld Jr.

Wes Unseld Jr. is an assistant coach with a big experience who worked for five years alongside Mike Malone. Unseld was interviewed for the Cleveland Cavaliers job, but then John Beilein was chosen instead. Wes Unseld Jr. is currently on the Bulls’ list and it’s a proof they are targeting young coaches at the moment.

Darvin Ham

Darvin Ham is the right hand of the Bucks’ Mike Budenholzer and he’s currently gaining some crucial experience. Ham also spent some time learning from Mike Brown, so maybe he’s ready now to become a head coach.

These are five of the coaches who could replace Jim Boylen at the Chicago Bulls. For even more news and rumours keep following us and our free guaranteed sports picks.
